We, love NY pizza, and "A Taste of The Big Apple" does it better than anyone else in town! Several reviewers complained about the price. Well, the food, service, live entertainment make this the most affordable pizza your going to get. If you don't care about quality food, exceptional service, and genuine entertainment, "A Taste of The Big Apple" is not for you. Do yourself a favor and try this place, it will quickly be added to your favorites list. Sioux Falls has some great pizza parlors, but none with the complete package offered at "A Taste of The Big Apple".

Just ate here last weekend will definitely be back! We had supper here on a Saturday night around 6:00. Within a short time, the restaurant was full. I cannot remember the name of the pizza we ordered, but it had pepperoni, onion, and green pepper. Loved it! It came out nice and hot and the crust was very crispy. The staff was attentive and they were hustling. Food appeared to be coming out fairly fast. We will be back. One comment about our server.... she was friendly and attentive, but too soft spoken. A couple of times, I didn't even know what she said. The pizza made great leftovers!

Yummm. I think this place is fairly up and coming...I'm not sure why else it wouldn't have any reviews. They have tons of selections in both sandwiches and pizza, a good-sized drink menu, and a cool outdoor atmosphere in a quiet part of downtown. We chose a large Hawaiian pizza and cheesy bread, both of which were great. And their thin, New York style crust makes the whole thing! If you're downtown Sioux Falls, be sure to check it out.

Pizza was good but it was also over priced. $20 for a medium that feeds 2 maybe 3. Avoid on weekend nights, gets extremely packed.

In town for a few days, we to give this place a try. So glad that we did! The pizza was fantastic, and we had a fabulous night out at their outdoor patio. The atmosphere reminded me of Minneapolis' St. Anthony on Main river district. This place serves quality pizza, so don't expect chain pizza quality or prices -- but the crust is just the right combination of chewy, tender, and crisp. Oh my gosh, the sauce, cheese, and Canadian bacon were so delicious. A friend who lives in NYC says the way to eat pizza there is to fold it over, so I did. Fun. We had the unexpected bonus of live entertainment on the patio that Thursday night, a guy who played keyboard, sang, and played the trombone. Great voice! Nat King Cole and Cole Porter tunes, how could we not love that? Next time we are in town, definitely going back.

No open hours. We call, they say "We are closing early b/c we have no customers." Ok well thanks....it is no wonder that other reviews say this place is a NO GO

This is a repeat pizza joint. Go and go often. Delicious pizza, great bottled beer selection and a cool location. Plus, a piano/trombone player on a Thursday night. Pretty amazing. Thank you to my fellow Yelpers for the tip. It is a great place with a very nice atmosphere in a quiet downtown area near Falls Park. We had the large eight piece garden veggie for about $22. Very comparable to what a good pizza should cost and better than most taste. It's not chain food. So if that's your thing, go elsewhere.

Tried to eat there for dinner tonight, the hours on the door said 5-9 and it was 8:03 when we walked in. We were rudely informed that they were closed. As we walked out I double checked the sign and it stated "new hours 5-9 Monday-Sunday". I was looking forward to going here for dinner, but I will never go back.

I got the Italian veggie pizza - delicious, so looking forward to those leftovers tomorrow. And the stuffed mushroom appetizer was different and yummy. The owner was very nice. We were there about 2 pm on a Saturday, and even though they closed for lunch while my friend and I were sitting there talking away, she did not rush us at all and told us to stay and take our time. I will be back for sure!

Great restaurant! Sioux Falls needs more places like this. It's small and has style with great food. Pizza's are delicious and we seek this out when we are looking for a pie. They don't deliver, but that's o.k. we'd rather go there and maybe catch some live entertainment while having a pizza and a cocktail. The best part is you feel welcome and they don't feel like a chain. Sioux Falls needs more local small eateries that you can go to without feeling like you're at a buffet. Places with charm like this one. Great job!

Best pizza in town. Great service, albeit unconventional hours. Friday nights with live music are the best! Great atmosphere and even better pizza. Just call ahead and keep calm.

Amazing Pizza! Can't go wrong with any of them...I personally love to create my own. The place is colorful and fun and the patio...when it isn't too hot out is great to sit out on. Dan Larsen, the music man, is wonderful on the weekends as well! Karen, the owner, is exactly what I'd expect and want in an owner of a pizza joint! She's great! If you haven't been here yet...WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!?! You'll become a pizza snob like me and never go any place else!

A little out of the way, but great pizza! Cool atmosphere and very relaxed. Good selection of craft and micro beer.

I ate here last summer due to a local's recommendation. This is great pizza that is not like the ones you are used to. It is made in a different style. Had The New Yorker pizza. Note, the pepperoni is the first layer on the pizza, underneath the cheese. I am not a pepperoni fan, but my friends are and so it took some time to pick off. :) The place itself is really neat. Indoor and outdoor seatting. Next time I am back there, I plan on going again.

We went here for the first time for lunch at about 1 in the afternoon. Was not overly busy, the inside looked dead while the outside was pretty full as it was beautiful out. First impression of staff ( a male greeter) did not seem overly excited about sitting us. I got the lamb/beef gyro ($12) and my partner got the turkey melt with popato salad ($9). Both were decent but the prices were a bit high..for the gyro, turkey sandwich and 2 drinks came to $27.45. Wasnt anything we would run back to. Our waitress was very nice and provided good service. Overall just seemed a bit overpriced for what you got.
